Finally changed that sword to a real "JIAN" sword !
A special thanks to ~Wai-Jing for helping me out!!! ---------------- Look at me You may think you see Who I really am But you'll never know me Every day It's as if I play a part Now I see If I wear a mask I can fool the world But I cannot fool my heart Who is that girl I see Staring straight back at me? When will my reflection show Who I am inside? I am now In a world where I Have to hide my heart And what I believe in But somehow I will show the world What's inside my heart And be loved for who I am Who is that girl I see Staring straight back at me? Why is my reflection Someone I don't know? Must I pretend that I'm Someone else for all time? When will my reflection show Who I am inside? There's a heart that must be Free to fly That burns with a need to know The reason why Why must we all conceal What we think, how we feel? Must there be a secret me I'm forced to hide? I won't pretend that I'm Someone else for all time When will my reflection show Who I am inside? When will my reflection show Who I am inside? --------------------- Mulan: 木蘭 the legend of the girl that took her father's place in the army. The legend stems from a Chinese poem, written during the Northern Wei dynasty (386-534), a time where northern china was ruled by nomadic invaders. This is reflected in the fact that the poem refers to the ruler as the Khan rather than as the Emperor. As is common with Chinese stories, it was further elaborated on as a novel during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) and as a play during the Qing dynasty (1644-1911). Her surname has been variously given as Zhu, Wei, or Hua in various sources but in fact no independent contemporary records exist to confirm her existence. Ode to Mulan: [link] 脫我戰時袍 著我舊時裳.\" 當窗理云鬢 對鏡貼花黃 I take off my wartime gown And put on my old-time clothes." Facing the window she fixes the cloudlike hair on her temples, Facing a mirror she dabs on yellow flower powder 出門看火伴 火伴皆驚惶 同行十二年 不知木蘭是女郎 She goes out the door and sees her comrades. Her comrades are all shocked. Traveling together for twelve years They didn't know Mulan was a girl. ----------------------- Credits: ~gallery-of-dreams *redheadstock `Dianae Tutorial: `Dianae Ref. photo, porcelain doll with Kimono |
